Day and night in balance, and the clearest turning point toward spring — the likely (though debated) root of the name “Easter,” and the origin of egg and rabbit symbolism later absorbed into that holiday.

A balance meditation: stand with feet shoulder-width apart at the literal moment of equinox if possible, and simply notice the feeling of even weight on both feet — a small physical anchor for the day's actual astronomical meaning.
